Amber R. Donley is an associate in the law firm of Melchert Hubert Sjodin, concentrating her practice in Family Matters. Amber has completed the 40-Hour Family Mediation Training and is now a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral covering the following family law areas: adoption, child custody, child support, dissolution/divorce, general family, parenting time, paternity, post-dissolution matters, spousal maintenance and valuation of property. She is also qualified as a parenting time expeditor.
Amber’s legal objective in every case is to ensure that her clients are fully informed as to their rights and feel that their voice is being heard. Amber strives to achieve an equitable and fair outcome for her clients in every case, while keeping the children’s best interests at the center of every decision.
Amber is an active member in the community serving on the Ethics Committee at Glencoe Regional Health Services and serving as Chair for the McLeod/Sibley ENE Steering Committee and the McLeod County Zero Adult Provider (ZAP) Committee. Amber is a member and past President of the Eighth District Bar Association and a member of McLeod County Bar Association. She is also a Mock Trial Attorney Coach for the Glencoe-Silver Lake High School Mock Trial team.
A native of Glencoe, Minnesota, Amber received her B.A. in Business Administration and Spanish from Concordia College, Moorhead and her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. She joined Melchert Hubert Sjodin in 2019 after practicing law with a firm in Glencoe for the previous 5 years. Prior to that practice, Amber practiced law as a sole practitioner for 2 years and was employed as corporate counsel for a Minneapolis company for 3 years.
