Throughout her career, Erin has leveraged her background in law and business to develop two key areas of practice: family and business law. She believes in taking the time to educate her clients, providing them with answers supported by the law, common sense and a real-world understanding of the impact it will have on their lives. “I enjoy handling the transactional business deal as well as the challenge of taking a case to trial,” Erin says.
As a family law attorney, Erin focuses her practice on complex financial issues including executive compensation, retirement, spousal maintenance, small business and other assets. Erin routinely litigates high-stakes divorce and child custody cases, regularly handling multi-million dollar divorces, farm divorces and divorces involving closely-held businesses. Erin also assists her clients with contested custody issues.
Having obtained her MBA from Hamline University School of Business in 2012, Erin also enjoys representing business entities of all types from start-ups to the established family business. She enjoys helping these businesses with transactions that include formation all the way through dissolution. She helps her clients anticipate potential issues and assists them in establishing effective and creative plans to avoid risk exposure and that result in healthy, efficient business models.
Erin prides herself in combining the law, business and common sense to work with her clients, educating them along the way, to assist them in reaching their personal and professional goals in the most creative and efficient way possible.
