Ron has a demonstrated history of working in government and municipal law, criminal prosecution, complex litigation matters, data privacy and security, regulatory compliance, information governance, and internal investigations.  Ron has formerly served as a municipal lawyer at the City of Minneapolis and as an Assistant District Attorney in the state of New York.

As an attorney, Ron has lead internal data privacy compliance training and taught CLEs across the state of Minnesota on various privacy law issues including: body cameras, personnel records, public data requests, inter- and intra- agency records sharing, ongoing investigations, and resolving conflicts in privacy law during litigation.  Ron’s municipal experience is rounded out by his service as a commissioner and chairmen of the planning commission of his home city.  In this capacity Ron has counseled on economic development, legislation, comprehensive plan writing, and municipal land use decision making processes (PUDs, CUPs, subdivisions, zoning).

Aside from his legal work, Ron strives to give back to his community through various activities such as being an on-call fire fighter, as a Mock Trial judge for area students, and as a branch manager at Tree Trust where he facilitates community tree plantings.  Ron has also served through activities at his local Boys and Girls Club, county domestic violence taskforce, county young professionals organization, local food shelf, and youth substance abuse prevention programming.
