Travel with your Legal Documents

Many Minnesotan’s are ‘snowbirds’, meaning that they live or travel to warmer parts of North America during the winter months.  It’s important for snowbirds to carry a copy of your legal documents with you, for example you should always travel with a copy of your Advanced Health Care Directive, and your Power of Attorney documents.  This is important as the laws may be different dependent on the destination you are visiting.  Having a copy of your legal documents should an emergency arise can help eliminate potential headaches by clarifying your wishes for medical or legal personnel.  Attorney Neil Jensen discusses important legal documents and information to carry with you when traveling on KDUZ 1260 AM’s show “Legal Update.”
