MHS Proudly Supports Our Local Farmers at the 2023 Carver County Fair
The Carver County Dairy Youth Scholars program was designed to recognize the efforts of youth who have excelled in the dairy industry. Funds raised through the Derek Drier Legacy Showcase are awarded to Carver County dairy youth grades 6-12.
In 2023, MHS was proud to be named a Supreme Champion Sponsor of the Dairy Youth Scholars program, which sponsors collectively raised $7,250 to be awarded to more than twenty applicants active in the dairy industry. Interest in developing this program was sparked by the dedication and inspiration of 4-H/FFA alumni member and volunteer leader, Derek Dreier, who left this earth far too soon. Derek was involved in all aspects of the dairy industry and built a strong foundation for Carver County’s future dairy youth. It is in his honor that we strive to support young dairy participants through this program.
