WACONIA, MN – March 28, 2018 ─ Attorney Kelly C. Dohm was chosen by the Waconia Public Schools’(ISD 110) administration to serve on the visioning team for a new strategic plan that will guide ISD 110 through the 21st Century. The “Classroom to Boardroom” planning process, which began in early March, is expected to take several months. During a series of meetings, the district will gather input from staff, students, parents and members of the community to set priorities for facilities, learning, safety and community involvement.

Dohm is a partner in Melchert Hubert Sjodin, PLLP.  She is a certified specialist in labor and employment law who brings that experience, as well as her insight as an active member of the Waconia business community, to the district’s planning process.  “I am excited to be a part of this visioning team in a school district where we not only provide excellent educational opportunities for all of our students, but where our guidance equips students to become contributing adults to our communities where  we live and work,”  she said.

ISD 110’s key goals include:

  • Developing a long-range plan that promotes a safe, efficient and supportive learning environment.
  • Engaging families and the community in supporting the growth and achievement of students.
  • Providing comprehensive programs that are relevant, engaging and designed to prepare students for life, work and service.
